Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive cosmetic procedure. The specialist sprays or rubs fine crystals onto the skin with a wand that gently exfoliates the surface, removing the top layer. The aim is to make the skin appear younger.
Diamond microdermabrasionis an easy and effective anti-aging treatment that can be performed not only on the face but also on the body. Microdermabrasion is an essentially powerful mechanical exfoliation carried out with a cosmetic diamond-tip microdermabrasion machine.

The goal of microdermabrasion is to make a person’s complexion smoother, brighter, and more even
in color.
Indications for treatment:
- dullness in the complexion;
- uneven skin tone;
- uneven skin texture;
- age spots;
- dark spots that can form after acne clears up;
- melasma, a common issue that forms dark spots or patches on the skin;
- scars.

How is the treatment carried out?
During your initial consultation I will inform you in details about the treatment and aftercare instructions.
- After the area is thoroughly cleansed and disinfected I will pick the right diamond tips for your skin type and condition and adjust the vacuum suction on the machine.
- The treated site will be gently massaged with the handpiece.
- The effectiveness of microdermabrasion can be enhanced by additional ultrasonic facials. With the help of cosmetic ultrasound the high dose active ingredients can more deeply
penetrate into the skin. Also with masks and packs according to your skin type great cosmetic results can be achieved. The skin feels not only smooth but invigorated and glowing.
What are the contraindications?
Certain skin conditions, health irregularities, and medications can impact whether it is safe for a person to receive microdermabrasion treatment.
Try to avoid:
- Skin trauma, lesions, sores or open wounds, contagious skin diseases.
- Active Herpes in the area to be treated.
- Fever, high temperature.
- Diabetes.
- Medication (Roaccutane, Accutane, Sotret within 6 months)
- History of moles or skin cancer, melanoma.
- Patient with unrealistic expectations.
- If you are under 18, you can only receive treatments if you present written consent from your parent or guardian.
- Aftercare instructions:
During your initial consultation you will receive detailed information of aftercare instructions. - After the treatment the treated area may be red for 1-3 hours and have a mild to moderate sunburned feeling that may persist in the treated areas for the next 2-3 days. The use of cold compresses and aloe vera gel or spray helps to decrease any itching or skin irritation. Avoid picking any scabs!
- Do not use cosmetics or irritating creams/scrubs that might cause allergic reactions to your skin, Do not use perfume on the treated area!
- Make sure to protect your skin with a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 every morning before going outdoors for the next 4 weeks to avoid sun induced brown discoloration of the skin! VERY IMPORTANT!
- Do not suntan or use the tanning bed and do not use self tanning lotions for 1 week AFTER the treatment!
- For couple of days after treatment, the treated area will be more sensitive, therefore do not
- take hot baths, massage and avoid the sauna! Avoid rubbing irritation and scratching the skin!
- Until the redness on treated area faded you are not allowed to shave!
